Natalie Yiaxi is a multidisciplinary artist based in Nicosia. Her work problematizes the quotidian using various materials and an ever-expanding set of practices and mediums. She is a Camberwell College of Arts graduate, where she obtained her Master’s in Visual Arts with a focus on artist’s books in 2011. She is also a graduate of the Center for Media and Cultural Policy Studies of the University of Warwick and Coventry University’s School of Art & Design. In 2018, she co-founded the artist-run gallery PARTY Contemporary (2018-2020) in Kaimakli, and in 2016 she founded the self-publishing imprint Bast Fooks. She was a DESTE Prize finalist in 2015, and in 2013 she co-represented the Republic of Cyprus at the 55th Venice Biennale.
