Natalie Yiaxi is a multidisciplinary artist based in Nicosia. Her practice explores the materiality of language, the poetics of embodiment, and the unnoticed in the everyday. It unfolds across self-publishing, performance poetry and DIY music, sculptural gestures, drawing, and video. Her work often slips between the visual and the literary, leaning into hybridity and fragmentation.

Since 2011, she has created spoken word and sound-based works that explore rhythm, voice, and dissonance under the moniker Nice Contradiction. In 2016, she founded Bast Fooks, a self-publishing imprint for experiments in print and language.
She co-founded the artist-run gallery
PARTYContemporary (2018–2020), was shortlisted for the 9th DESTE Prize (2015), and co-represented Cyprus at the 55th Venice Biennale (2013).
